he Acting Director-General of Prisons, Mr. Emmanuel Yao Adzator, has presented a Citation to the Managing Director of Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL), Mr. Patrick Akpe Kwame Akorli, to congratulate him for being adjudged the Marketing Man of the year 2015 at the 27th Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Awards.
Presenting the Citation on behalf of the Service at the GOIL office at Cantonments in Accra recently, Mr. Adzator said it was appropriate for Prisons as a loyal customer of GOIL to send felicitations to Mr. Akorli for his achievements. ‘You truly deserve the award, as we can testify in your company’s consistent delivery of good quality petroleum products to the Ghana Prisons Service over the past years, he added.
Receiving the Citation, Mr. Akorli was grateful to the Acting Director-General and staff, and said he was happy doing business with the Prisons Service, ‘as it is one of our loyal customers who honoured its obligations promptly’. He said his outfit will soon go into partnership with Prisons, like it did with the Military, to establish fuel stations on its lands for the benefit of both institutions.
Other dignitaries present at the short ceremony included Mrs. Josephine Fredua-Agyemang, the Director of Prisons in charge of Welfare; Mr. LKA Ansah, Director of Prisons in charge of Technical and Services; Mr. John Benang Songani, Chief Transport Officer of Prisons; and other executive members of GOIL.
