Religious Affairs

Chaplains and Imams make up the Religious Affairs unit. The unit is to promote the moral and spiritual welfare of Officers and their dependants as well as those of inmates.

Chief Religious Affairs Officer

The unit provides spiritual support, pastoral care, and moral guidance for both officers and their dependents, inmates, and the prison community. this is achieved through a fivefold ministry.

  • Advising the administration on all legal related matters confronting the Service.
  • Ministry to the Prisoner
  • Ministry to the Prisoner’s Family
  • Ministry to the Prison Officer’s Family
  • Ministry to the Community
