Submit application for visit at the intended prison.
Wait for application to be processed.
Upon approval you are admitted in.
Avail yourself at the gate for search.
You are ushered into visit room.
Foreigners have to apply to the Min. of Foreign Affairs and wait for approval.
VISITING HOURS :
Mondays-Fridays: 8:00am-4:00pm
Saturdays: 8:00am-12:00pm
NO VISITS ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS EXCEPT CHRISTMAS AND EASTERS.
PROHIBITED ITEMS INTO THE PRISONS
Although we encourage relatives and friends to visit their relations, the Prison authorities will inspect letters and parcels and will not permit the following items in the yard.
- Drugs prohibited by Narcotic Control Board ie, Wee, Cocaine, Heroine, Cigarette and Tobacco.
- Sharp objects eg. Knives, Needles, Cutlass.
- Weapons, Mobile Phones, Ropes.
- Poisonous substances.
- Alcoholic-Spirits, Wine, Beer etc.
- Electronic gadgets.
