SCC CELEBRATES MOTHERS/MENTAL HEALTH DAY
Femal Officers of the Senior Correctional Center (SCC) on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 celebrated Mothers day and the Mental health month with series of activities.
The event highlighted the Importance of mental wellness and appreciation for motherhood within the correction service.
The key moment of the celebration was the clinical confession session that offered officers the opportunity for emotional expression and psychological support.
This session was facilitated by Dr. Erica Dickson from the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
Other activities included Basic Makeup and Pastry tutorials, Sip and Paint sessions.
The celebration served as a reminder of the importance of self-care, camaraderie and the recognition of critical roles women play in the prison service.
Present at the celebration were the officer in charge of SCC DDP. Yayra Ashong -Mettle (Mrs), the Chaplain General DDP.Rev. S. Adama Okai and the Second in Command ADP. Roland Suubersig.
