DGP HOLDS XMAS PARTY FOR KIDS IN KETE – KRACHI
The Director General of Prisons (DGP), Mr. Isaac Kofi Egyir has yesterday, December 27, 2023 held a christmas party for kids around the Kete – Krachi local prison community and fed the inmates of the facility.
This gesture is a policy of the Director General of Prisons to annually celebrate christmas outside the capital city with officers and their children.
A total of 200kids turned up for the party, they were treated to good music and prizes awarded to winners and runner -ups of various competitions including musical chairs, bottle filling, apple hunt, spelling and dancing competitions.
DGP. Isaac Kofi Egyir urged officers and parents present to give their wards the needed education to become responsible adults.
He also encouraged the children to continue being obedient and focus on their studies.
The Director of Prisons in charge of Welfare; Mrs. Joana Fofo Tackie- Otoo, the Officer in charge at the Kete- Krachi Local prison; CSP. Christian Anyrator and representatives from sister security agencies were present at the occasion.
