MINISTRY OF INTERIOR HOLDS 2025 ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW WORKSHOP

The Ministry of the Interior, on 6th February 2025, organized a three-day Annual Performance Review Workshop for its sectors at Ada in the Greater Accra Region.
The workshop brought together heads of agencies under the Ministry, including the Inspector-General of Police, the Director-General of the Prisons, the Chief Fire Officer, the Controller-General of Immigration, the Director-General of the Narcotics Control Commission, the Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), and the Executive Secretary of the Ghana National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons, among others.

The objective of the workshop was to strengthen alignment, assess progress made by the various sectors, and enhance collaboration in support of national development goals.
As part of the programme, the Ghana Prisons Service was given the opportunity to present on key developments and the way forward. The presentation covered:
Financial performance for the period January to December 2025
Non-financial performance for the year 2025
Key implementation challenges encountered and the mitigation strategies adopted
Proposed programmes, activities, and budget submissions for 2026, aligned with sector priorities, the Medium-Term Development Framework, and prevailing government policy directives.

The workshop reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to accountability, performance improvement, and coordinated service delivery across all its agencies.
