INTERIOR MINISTER DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO GHANA PRISONS SERVICE
The Interior Minister, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed- Mubarak, on behalf of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, founder of Engineers and Planners, donated food items to the Ghana Prisons Service at the Prisons Headquarters in Accra today, Monday, 23rd February, 2026.
The donation, aimed at supporting inmates during the Ramadan season includes 416 boxes of tomato paste, 500 bags of rice, 500 boxes of sugar, 100 boxes of milk, and 277 cartons of oil.
Hon. Muntaka urged the Prisons Service to distribute the items as soon as possible to prison facilities across the country.
The Deputy Director-General of Prisons, Dr. Francis Omane Addo, thanked the Minister of Interior and Mr. Ibrahim Mahama on behalf of the Director-General of Prisons, Mrs. Patience Baffoe-Bonnie, and the Ghana Prisons Service, assuring that the items will be used for its intended purposes.
The donation is part of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama’s humanitarian efforts, reflecting his commitment to supporting vulnerable groups during the Ramadan season.
