PRISONS BEAT POLICE IN GAME 2 OF THE ONGOING WOMEN’S BASKETBALL LEAGUE

The Prisons Women basketball team ( Reformers) yesterday, Wednesday the 29th of March, 2023 beat their long time league rivals the Police Women’s team at the Prisons basketball court in Cantonments.


The game started with the exhibition of strength, run and dribbles from both sides before the Reformers Women outplayed their opponent in the 3rd quarter to lead by 57 – 46 points.


Both teams have good players and always give spectators the best of games in the league. In 2021, Reformers lost the final league match to Police and the Police Women team won the league trophy. This win is the second consecutive win after Reformers Women beat the University of Ghana Women team in the opening game at the Prisons basketball court in Cantonments.


With two(2) games played and two(2) wins recorded, the Reformers Women team are poised for victory in the 2023 league competition after narrowly losing the 2021 season final to Police and 2022 league final to the Braves Women team (Customs Division of GRA).
