NEIP TRAINS OFFICERS AND INMATES OF SUNYANI CENTRAL AND FEMALE PRISONS
80 officers and 212 prison inmates of the Sunyani Central and Female Prisons have benefitted from a 5 day training program organized by the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program(NEIP) from the 21st October to 25th October,2024 .
The Neip program provided entrepreneurial skills training in soap and detergents making, cosmetics, yoghurts and local drinks, grains and cereals. The training workshop forms part of programs being rolled out for inmates in order to equip them with employable skills and resources for a successful reintegration back into the society.
Launched in 2017, NEIP has been a cornerstone initiative aimed at advancing Entrepreneurship and innovations in Ghana.
The program provides critical support to start ups through funding, training and mentorship.
