GPS-NACP TRAINS OFFICERS ON HIV DATA COLLECTION AND REPORTING MECHANISMS
The Ghana Prisons Service in collaboration with the National Aids Control Programme (NACP) have held the opening ceremony for a 5day training programme for some selected Prisons HIV/TB Focal Persons across the 46 facilities nationwide.
The 5days training which was officially opened yesterday, Monday April 28, 2025 is to equip officers with the needed data collection tools, how to develop SOPs, monitoring and evaluation and validation of developed tools.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Director of Prisons in charge of Health Mrs.Joana Fofo Tackie- Otoo, Programme Manager-NACP Dr. Ayisi Addo, Programme Manager – TB Control Dr. Yaw Adusi-Poku and the National Prisons HIV/TB Focal Person ADP. Matilda Nyampong.
The rest were the Officer in charge of Public Health at the Prisons Headquarters ADP. Dr. Ama Boadu, Dr. Yvonne Nartey, CSP. Benedict Osei from the Nsawam Medium Prison Hospital and Supt. Florence Djoleto from the Senior Correctional Center infirmary.
