EASTERN REGIONAL COMMANDER CELEBRATES WITH 2024 BECE CANDIDATES
The Eastern Regional Commander of the Nsawam Medium Security Prison (NMSP), ADP. Patrick Thomas Seidu, on Thursday 18th July, 2024, organized an after school party for the five/5 inmate candidates of the NMSP who sat for the 2024 BECE.

According to ADP. Seidu, the move was celebrate the inmates and also commend the staff of the Education and Training Unit of the facility for their hardwork and sacrifices in ensuring that the boys were adequately prepared for the exams.
The subjects written by the students included English language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Creative Arts, Social Studies, Religious and Moral Education, Ghanaian Language, Career Technology and Information Communication and Technology.

The occasion which was celebrated alongside with the Nelson Mandela day, was graced by the Deputy Director General of Prison in charge of Finance and Administration, Mrs. Patience Baffoe-Bonnie Esq.,Director in charge of Health, Madam Gloria Essandoh Esq., and Director in charge of Welfare, Mrs. Joana Fofo Tackie-Otoo.

Other dignitaries present included the Officer-in-charge of the Nsawam Camp Prison ADP. Joseph Vuu, the 2IC of the Medium Security Prison ADP. Andrews Kwaku Osei, OIC of the Nsawam Female Prison ADP. Victoria Adzewodah, representatives from the UNODC office, Mr. Fatawa Dauda the black star goal keepers trainer and John Painstil the Ghana Black Star Assistant Coach.

The dignitaries took turns and applauded the candidates for striving to achieve much for themselves while serving their sentence and advised the students not to lose hope on this life journey.
