NSAWAM MEDIUM SECURITY PRISON SHOWS LOVE TO CHILDREN AT NSAWAM GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL
Officers of the Nsawam Medium Security Prison (NMSP) marked Valentine’s Day with an act of compassion by donating assorted items to the Paediatric Ward of the Nsawam Government Hospital.
The donation exercise brought smiles to children on admission, as officers presented items including toilet rolls, detergents, sanitary pads, drinks, mop buckets, mop sticks, assorted food items, chocolates, bottled water, tissue paper and other essential supplies to support healthcare delivery at the ward.
The presentation was made by CSP Sheritta Mathar Quist, Officer in Charge of Reception, on behalf of the Eastern Regional Commander, DDP Thomas Patrick Seidu. The gesture formed part of activities to commemorate Valentine’s Day and underscored the Service’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.
Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Dr. Richard Letcher, Doctor in Charge of the Paediatric Ward, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the officers for their thoughtful support. He, however, highlighted a key challenge confronting the ward, limited space, which continues to strain efforts to adequately accommodate the increasing number of child patients. He therefore appealed to the general public and stakeholders to assist in expanding the facility.
Also present at the brief ceremony was the Second-in-Command of NMSP, DDP Andrews Osei, and other officers of the Service.
