GCB PLC, Accra West Cluster, through staff of its Osu, Burma Camp and Teshie branches, undertook a social responsibility initiative dubbed “From Vision to Impact” at the Senior Correctional Centre (SCC) on Thursday, 27 August 2026.

The Project Leader, Madam Irene Adu Boamoah Atiemo, stated the initiative under the bank’s SCIP’s involved the donation of assorted items, including a chest freezer, raw foodstuffs, sachet water and cooked meals. The gesture forms part of GCB PLC’s commitment to supporting communities and institutions beyond its traditional banking and financial services.

Receiving the items, the Second-in-Command of the facility, ADP Daniel Eghan, on behalf of the Officer-in-Charge, staff and inmates, welcomed the GCB team and expressed appreciation to the bank for choosing the Centre for the donation. In a brief presentation, the Head of Insurance, Very Rev. Isaac Hammond, encouraged the juveniles not to allow their present circumstances to define their future. He urged them to learn from their experiences, embrace correction, acquire useful skills and prepare themselves to contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s development.

Management of the facility expressed its appreciation to GCB PLC for the gesture and continued support towards the welfare, rehabilitation and reintegration of the juveniles.
