OBUASI UMA DONATES TO AHINSAN CAMP PRISONS.
The Underground Mining Alliance (UMA) located in Obuasi-Adansi donated Wellington boots to the Ahinsan Camp Prison on Wednesday, 1st July, 2026 as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
Presenting the boots, Mrs. Yvonne Adomako Asabere, the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Officer, emphasized that the donation is intended to help protect officers and inmates working on the farm from hazards, since the station is an agricultural station.
The Officer-In-Charge of the station, Assistant Director of Prisons (ADP) Martin B. Duah, received the items and expressed his profound appreciation to the mining company for the generous donation.
The OIC assured the donors that, the boots would be used for the intended purpose and would go a long way to enhance agricultural activities at the camp prison.
