HANDOVER OF TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND FURNITURE TO THE SKILLS TRAINING CENTRE AT KETE-KRACHI LOCAL PRISON

The Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Kete Krachi Area, Pastor Charles K. Fosu, together with the Area Pastors and some members of the Church, visited the Station today, 12th August, 2026 to officially hand over various items to the Skills Training Centre. The items include:

– Five/5 industrial sewing machines and oil

– ⁠One/1 industrial knitting machine

– ⁠Different sets of electrical tools

– ⁠Three/3 office chairs

– ⁠Sets of satellite tools

– ⁠Two/2 dry irons

– ⁠Two/2 32 inches Nasco Television set

– ⁠Ten/10 working chairs

– ⁠One/1 working table

– ⁠Two/2 office table and practical desk

The items were handover to support the various units of the Centre, including the Tailoring unit, Electrical and Satellite unit and Counselling Unit, and were intended to enhance the training and rehabilitation of inmates.

In his remarks, the Area Head indicated that the handover was made on behalf of the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Eric Nyamekye. He expressed the Church’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the rehabilitation, skills development and reintegration of inmates into society.

The Officer-in-Charge of Kete-Krachi Local Prison, ADP. Emmanuel Nyatuame, expressed his profound appreciation to the Chairman Apostle Dr. Eric Nyamekye, Area Head, the leadership and members of The Church of Pentecost for the kind gesture and continued support to the station. He stated that the donation would greatly enhance the Station’s reformation and rehabilitation mandate and contribute to the implementation of the “Think Prisons 360 Degrees” initiative of the Director-General of Prisons.

The OIC further assured the delegation that the equipment and facilities would be put to good and productive use. He emphasized that the training and skills acquired by inmates would equip them with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to become responsible and productive citizens upon their discharge from prison.
