GCB BANK PLC PROVIDES MECHANISED BOREHOLE FOR SUNYANI CENTRAL PRISONS.
The Ghana Commercial Bank(GCB)Limited, Sunyani Branch, has handed over a mechanised borehole to the Sunyani Central Prisons to provide a reliable water supply for the prison community.
The project, implemented under the Bank’s Staff Community Impact Programme (SCIP), was received on behalf of the Ghana Prisons Service by the Officer-in-Charge of the Sunyani Central Prison, Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East Regional Commander, DDP. Thompson Otsyokpo.
DDP. Otsyokpo expressed appreciation to GCB , noting that the facility will support sanitation, daily operations, the Car Wash and Vulcanising Skills Development Centre, which equips inmates with practical skills for employment and successful reintegration into society.
He described the intervention as a valuable contribution to the Think Prisons 360 Degrees agenda of enhancing inmates’ welfare.
