2CO. RITA NKANSAH OFFICIATES AT THE 2023 CAF WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Second Class Officer(2CO.)Rita Nkansah Boateng has been appointed together with other seasoned African women referees to officiate in this year’s Confederation of African Football (CAF) Women’s Champions League – WAFU Zone B qualifiers which is ongoing at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Nigeria.
2C0. Nkansah was the 4th referee in the opening match between Delta Queens of Nigeria and USFA from Burkina Faso.
In a fiercely contest game on Tuesday, 22nd August 2023, she was fully in charge as the centre referee when USFA from Burkina Faso played against Sam Nelly from Benin. Players of both teams and spectators present at the stadium were very appreciative of the young referee’s excellent performance throughout the period of play that they cheered her as she walked of the pitch.
Second Class Officer(2C0.) Rita Nkansah Boateng aside being a licensed FIFA referee is also an integral member of the Prisons Women Basketball team (Reformers).
