RECRUIT COURSE 113 PASS OUT
Four hundred and ninety-one (491) recruit officers of the Ghana Prisons Service have passed out as Second Class Officers to begin their roles as Prisons officers to ensure the safe custody, welfare, reformation and rehabilitation of offenders.
The recruit course, which is the 113th of the Service, comprised three hundred and twenty six (326) men and one hundred and sixty six (166) women have successfully completed the recruit course after going through the necessary physical training, drills, practical attachment and examinations in Prison Duties, Penal Law, Computation and Interpersonal skills.
The course participants comprises holders of NVTI, HND, University diploma and Senior High School certificates. RO Joseph Lartey was awarded the overall best of the course and the best in Penal Law. RO Gifty Lomotey and RO Ernest Atsu were also awarded with best in Computation and Prison Duties respectfully.
In his address, the Director General of Prisons, Mr. Patrick Darko Missah congratulated the recruit officers on a successful completion and cautioned them to be disciplined and be guided by professionalism in discharging their duties.
“Our Service to mother Ghana is valued, observe the safety protocols as you work at your various stations. Course 113 is duly promoted from recruits to second class (2co)” The Director General stated.
Members of the Directorates present joined the Director General as they walked round to congratulate the newly promoted junior officers.
